As I got into a lot of thinking lately, I realized that I've been a victim of numerous food disasters. Let me share to you the top 3 things that I won't ever forget encountering when it comes to my eating experience.
My first account was this cookie which I won't name. It was this yummy stuff that I can say is way better than Chips Ahoy!, yes you heard that right. It was last October 13, 2008 when we had a box of these yummy cookies that we really wanted to finish but decided to leave some for our other sibling who will be coming home the following day. However on the next day, I can't contain myself and picked up a cookie from the box. But, lo and behold! Web-like strands seemed to be hanging from it. I was wondering how on earth are these things here? At first I even thought they were fallen strands of my hair. I didn't mind it at all and just kept eating. When I was then finishing up the luscious delicious choco crumbs, yet I saw this...

Lesson Learned: Stick to Chips Ahoy!
For my second food booboo, I can say that we Filipinos do love eating chicken. It's in our blood and without chicken a Filipino diet is not complete. I then stumble upon this juicylicious, crispylicious and finger lickin' food for my next story. An all-time favorite, but now, with a twist--a crispy fried strand of hair!
The strand of hair was deep fried under the chicken skin! Delicioso!
Anyone care for some bucket of fried chicken?
To complete my meal, my last food nightmare was about a drink. Recently, our country has been experiencing this craze about milk teas. Who wouldn't love milk teas, right? It's essentially a tea drink mixed with milk. Healthy and yummy all in one! Yey! Now, prepare yourself for the grossest experience that ever happened to me which I don't by any means wish on anybody. Just this August 24, 2011, I was happily drinking this milk tea of mine and enjoying how the taste of this tea differs from the original classic tea, plus how it tingles my taste buds. I was too engrossed with my drinking, that suddenly, onto my last sips, I drank something of plastic consistency in which I first thought was a black pearl or "sago". But as it stayed longer on my tongue, I realized that the thing got rougher and rougher in texture contradictory to the texture of a pearl. I then pulled this thing out of my mouth with my hand and behold!
Imagine, that thing was inside my mouth and it was still alive and kicking! I then even examined this wasp and it seemed to be lacking a wing! Uh-oh! :| After this experience, I made a pact to myself that I won't drink this brand's milk teas ever again! But what the heck, just this 2012 I can't help myself and broke that promise. What a great way to start my year, right? Breaking promises and gaining weight.
Yet, food is a blessing from God.
I'm still here to give thanks. ♥
